The Hopewell Rocks (Low Tide)

This is the first sighting of the famous Hopewell Rocks from the main lookout.
These two photos were recorded at 10:36 AM AST while the tide was out.

Walking on sinking mud.

Trying to walk on this muddy spot is like walking on quick sand; you’re fine until you try to move your feet.

Downright MUDDY!!!

These are some very amusing sights that I was glad to have captured on the day.
Many people took off their footwear to walk knee deep through the very messy mud shore.

Downright MUDDY!!!

Waves bringing in the tide

As the tide was coming in, the beach was coated with delicious chocolate waves.
It was also fun to let the waves engulf my hiking boots with the brown water. BTW, my hiking boots are water proof.

Covered BridgeCovered Bridge

My wife and I went for a drive through the back roads today and decided to stop for a stretch by this covered bridge in Damascus. It is a very beautiful and peaceful location, and I had the luxury of snapping a few wonderful shots while we relaxed.

Sandy TrailA Sandy Trail

I thought this trail was rather intriguing. The beach itself was very pebbly, but for some reason, this trail is completely covered with sand.

Flooded BridgeSometimes “The Road Less Traveled” is less traveled for a reason.

And for darn good reason too. For one, the bridge is broken and looks like it could crumble at any time.

Flooded RoadNot too bad on the other side…

Right here isn’t too bad; at least on the left side of the road, but there isn’t any point trying to continue.

I would really have loved to have a canoe or kayak today. I was interested in seeing how high the water was by my grandparents summer camp, but I guess that will have to wait until later on. I do, however, find this to be very fascinating. I have never come out this way this early in the year, and now I know why I haven’t. I still wish I had a boat with me. :???:

This photo was actually very dull and boring looking when I first looked at it on my computer. However, with a little bit of effort, I was able to transform this nearly deleted photo into a keepsake. It is always a good practice to think twice (2x) before pressing Delete.

These are some vibrant white clouds filling the luscious blue sky. For some reason, I seem to be mesmerized by this photo.
